The mission of Denim Tears to transform historic, archival imagery into wearable art keeps going further. They are now collaborating with The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “Superfine” exhibition to release an exclusive T-shirt called “Days of Grace.”
The limited-edition shirt features a licensed image shot by Andy Warhol, capturing an iconic trio: fashion editor André Leon Talley, designer André Walker, and artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. It’s where fashion collides with art, culture, and legacy. The question on everyone’s mind: is this the next holy grail for collectors? For us, it already is.
This special release will be available starting Friday, August 15th, at The Met Store and Denim Tears’ African Diaspora Goods, both in-store and online.
