The Atlanta rapper brings health, wellness, and community to Prospect Park this September.
Gunna is set to host the inaugural “WUNNA RUN 5K” at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park on the 3rd September 2025, in partnership with his non-profit, Gunna’s Great Giveaway, and local race organiser NYCRUNS.
Founded by Gunna, “Gunna’s Great Giveaway” is an Atlanta-based non-profit rooted in South Fulton. The organisation is dedicated to uplifting communities through service, resource drives, and initiatives such as its Guaranteed Income Programme, which supports underserved families with direct financial aid. The foundation champions compassion in action, providing vital relief and creating pathways to long-term prosperity.
The event also marks a collaboration with NYCRUNS, one of the nation’s leading independent race organisers. Now in its 15th year, the Brooklyn-based group is known for its runner-centric approach and hosts around two dozen races annually, including the flagship Brooklyn Half Marathon, which brings together over 25,000 runners. NYCRUNS events act as a hub for New York’s running crews and clubs while raising support for local businesses and causes.
Registration for the WUNNA RUN 5K has now opened, with free entry available for participants. Featured image credited to Desmond Kye.
