66°North Celebrates Heritage with Fisherman’s Print Capsule

By September 9, 2025FASHION NEWS

Time to Sail.

Forget tie-dye and floral prints. 66°North has just unveiled its latest design — a weathered print inspired by salt, wear and Arctic survival, evoking the feeling of stepping straight off a fishing boat in Iceland’s Westfjords. Part of the brand’s “Fisherman’s Print” capsule, this limited five-piece collection draws from the brand’s iconic heritage fisherman’s coat, reimagined through a contemporary lens.

Founded in 1926 in the remote fishing village of Suðureyri, 66°North originally made protective clothing for Icelandic fishermen braving the North Atlantic. Now, just one year shy of its centenary, the brand uses this capsule as both a tribute to its roots and a signal of what lies ahead.

The campaign — shot by Benjamin Hardman and Eydís María Ólafsdóttir — stars Gauti, a 54-year-old fisherman from Grindavík who has worked at sea since the age of 16. A symbol of Icelandic seafaring resilience, he recently relocated from Grindavík to Keflavík following volcanic eruptions along the Reykjanes Peninsula.

The capsule features five pieces: the Dyngja Down AOP, a modern take on the early-2000s bestseller parka; the Dyngja Down Cropped AOP, a puffed, cropped version with horizontal quilting; the Dyngja Shell Jacket AOP, a new AW25 silhouette made from 3-layer fabric with 10,000 mm waterproofing; the Dyngja Shell Pants AOP, built to match the jacket’s durability for outdoor performance; and the Dyngja Down Vest AOP, lightweight yet warm, designed for effortless layering.

The brand has also introduced a hoodie, a long sleeve, a T-shirt and a swimsuit featuring the print. Would you wear the Fisherman’s Print this season? Take a look at the images below.
