Gucciness of Gucci.
Dropping out this morning, the newly appointed creative director Demna has finally released its collection for Spring 2026 titled “La Famiglia,” featuring framed portraits of people who just scream “Gucci.”
“I built this collection by picturing a bunch of different characters and asking myself what Gucci means to me, from its old stuff to all the different types of people who wear it,” Demna said in an interview. You’ll spot a bright red coat on Maria Carla Boscono that’s a nod to a piece Demna bought as a kid, which actually kickstarted his love of fashion. Then there’s a cool cobalt blue faux fur inspired by the one and only Sophia Loren.
According to the brand, this collection is basically a warm-up, “defining the aesthetic base” for what Demna’s Gucci vision will look like. It’s all leading up to his very first show in February.
