Curated by Jacquemus.
Simon Porte Jacquemus now ventures into the world of art as curator and scenographer of the exhibition ‘Mythes’. The show establishes a dialogue between works from Antiquity and the sculptures of the French painter, engraver and sculptor Aristide Maillol.
The exhibition will debut at the Collège des Bernardins, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, from 20 to 24 October 2025, before moving to Galerie Chenel and Galerie Dina Vierny, where it will remain on view until 20 December. Jacquemus collaborates with both galleries to infuse his aesthetic sensibility into the arrangement of the pieces, creating a journey that invites reflection and contemplation.
With ‘Mythes’, Jacquemus reaffirms his interest in expanding the boundaries of creativity beyond the runway. In 2024, he had already demonstrated this approach, designing the staging for the Fête des Puces in Paris, of which he was patron, and conceiving a special exhibition of works by François-Xavier Lalanne for a sale organised by Christie’s in New York.
This continuity reflects a hallmark of his work: both his catwalks and campaigns evoke art, transforming each presentation into a visual experience that goes beyond fashion and engages with history and contemporary creativity.
