Togo comes to New York.
Agbobly, the Brooklyn-based independent design studio founded by Jacques Agbobly in 2020, has announced its latest collaboration with Nike — already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated shows at the upcoming New York Fashion Week.
Celebrated for sculptural knitwear and ready-to-wear rooted in memory, heritage and storytelling, Agbobly has from the start drawn on their Togolese heritage. The designer’s mission has been to spotlight Black, queer and immigrant narratives, placing cultural contributions at the centre of a global conversation.
From reimagining the renowned “Ghana Must Go” bag into a trench coat to weaving Togolese notes throughout its production process, Agbobly is set to have one of the highlights of the season. The presentation is scheduled for 16 September, where the duo will unveil their Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
