Burberry Celebrates the Heritage of Its Signature Check Scarf

By October 23, 2025FASHION NEWS

A Legacy in Cashmere.

The Burberry Check scarf is one of the British house’s most enduring codes, and to honour its timeless spirit, Olivia Colman, Amelia Gray, Liu Wen, Lucky Blue Smith, Mona Tougaard and Tyson Beckford star in a new portrait series wearing the iconic cashmere design.

For 125 years, Burberry has partnered with a family-owned mill – founded in 1797 – to produce its cashmere scarves, woven in Scotland using traditional looms and brushed with natural teasels for an ultra-soft finish. This enduring partnership gave rise to the now-iconic Check scarf, a cornerstone of Burberry’s identity.

Alongside the portrait series featuring friends of the house, Burberry has launched a Scarf Bar across select stores worldwide – including its Regent Street flagship – offering a curated selection of scarves ranging from soft cashmere to silk twill. Presented in a rich palette of colours, patterns and textures, the collection features over thirty shades.
