A season of legacy and next-generation.

As the season drew to a close on the island of Ibiza, summer 2025 was brimming with energy, but two moments in particular shaped the cultural conversation: Mau P’s debut residency at Pacha, and Solomun’s one-off spectacle at the Port of Ibiza.

If Mau P’s residency spoke to the future of Ibiza, Solomun’s surprise show at the Port grounded audiences firmly in its heritage. Renowned as one of the island’s most beloved traditions, it returned with full force: Solomun at the Port. Now in its tenth year, the free open-air party has become a cultural landmark for both locals and holidaymakers, transforming Ibiza’s port into a dance floor for all to enjoy.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Dalt Vila and Ibiza’s historic Old Town, a large crowd gathered beneath the palm-lined streets to witness Solomun, a master of his craft, at work. The sea of people, spanning generations, moved as one to his signature blend of deep, melodic grooves, sprinkled with cult classics and on-trend tracks.

The atmosphere was electric as the sun dipped behind the ancient walls of Dalt Vila. It was more than a performance, it was a communal experience, a reminder that ten years on, Solomun at the Port continued to highlight the island’s blend of heritage, community, and world-class music culture. Ibiza in its truest form.

In a seamless transition from day to night, the party moved from the iconic Ibiza port to the legendary Pacha club for DJ and producer Mau P’s “Baddest Behaviour” residency. For Mau P, this summer marked more than just another gig, it was his first full residency on the island, and anticipation quickly turned into acclaim. The Dutch DJ and producer, whose rapid rise had been impossible to ignore, curated a lineup that read like a who’s who of electronic heavyweights. Mau P dropped Shakedown’s “At Night” and Khia’s “My Neck, My Back,” alongside his own recent hit “Tesla.” From the first beat, his set made it clear why he had earned his place at such an iconic institution. Bringing Amsterdam’s underground energy to the palm-fringed island, he commanded the room with charisma and skill, sporting a Willy Chavarria tee that added to his effortless, cool vibe. The club was packed from wall to wall, the sense of community echoing the vibrant atmosphere felt earlier at the port.

One of the island’s longest-standing venues, Pacha remains a beacon of electronic music and nightlife. Beyond its world-famous dance floors, Pacha offers an elegant restaurant which serves delicious Japanese and Mediterranean fused cuisine and the Paradiso cocktail bar, giving guests the chance to recharge with incredible food and drinks before diving back into the night, an experience that intertwines culinary indulgence with Ibiza’s rich clubbing culture.

Together, these two moments, Mau P stepping into his own spotlight at Pacha, and Solomun reimagining tradition at the Port, illustrated Ibiza’s unique ability to balance the cutting edge with the timeless. For anyone tracking the pulse of electronic music and its culture, the season was one not to miss, with fresh talent ensuring the island’s musical legacy remains in safe hands.
