Adam Jones Gives Umbro Deadstock a Eccentric British Makeover

By November 20, 2025FASHION NEWS

Britain’s Eccentric Edge.

The hallmark ability of British designer Adam Jones to fuse fashion with humour finds sharp new expression in his latest limited-edition collaboration for Umbro, transforming the brand’s deadstock into a collection inspired by the eccentricity of British style – and by the outfits once worn by his own grandfather.

Jones’s signature blend of utility over urbanity is amplified here: argyle patterns adorn knitted jumpers; lace doilies are repurposed into football shirts; and gleaming, striped short shorts pay homage to the golden era of the ‘Beautiful Game’. Dress shirts and polo tops are deconstructed and salvaged to form a hybrid silhouette that sits somewhere between smart and casual.

“These pieces are made up of garments from traditionally different environments. That was my goal when I started working with Umbro. We wanted to push boundaries whilst also having fun with it, and that sentiment permeates throughout the collection,” Jones says of the collaboration.
