Back in Shanghai last year at the Moncler City of Genius event, the fashion world first caught a glimpse of this conceptual partnership, and now it’s here with a collection that is a masterclass in merging two distinct worlds: Moncler’s rugged, storied alpine heritage and Jil Sander’s sharp, quiet-luxury minimalism.
Drawing inspiration from the natural world, the collaboration transcends typical performance-wear. It translates the beauty of snow peaks and organic landscapes into fashion through a deliberate focus on voluminous, rounded silhouettes, crafting a uniquely aesthetic that feels both functional and chic.
The garments themselves define this collaboration’s cool factor, moving beyond typical performance wear with a luxurious, textural touch. Key pieces feature striking, bulbous outerwear and innovative dome-shaped skirts, all constructed with natural, premium fibres like plush double wool, structured washed cotton twill, and cozy long-haired wool. These materials are artfully layered with Moncler’s signature down filling, ensuring ultimate warmth while allowing for graceful movement. The high-concept design is subtly grounded by a small, circular silver-tone pin, a nod to the iconic Moncler logo.
