Chanel goes to Biarritz.
Following his successful Métiers d’Art collection in New York, Chanel’s creative director Matthieu Blazy announced his next destination – the French coastal resort of Biarritz.
In contrast to the trend of some luxury brands travelling to the United States to unveil their Resort 2027 collections, Chanel revealed that its next resort line will be presented on 28 April in Biarritz.
It was in this very location, back in 1915, that Gabrielle Chanel opened one of her earliest couture houses, catering to an international clientele who flocked to the town’s beaches and grand hotels.
“Biarritz plays a fundamental role in the history of Chanel,” said Bruno Pavlovsky, president of fashion and president of Chanel SAS. “We are delighted that Matthieu Blazy has chosen this destination – so dear to the house – to present his first vision of the cruise collection.”
