mfpen x Schott NYC Rework the Iconic CWU Bomber for AW25

Reinterpretation of an American classic.

Copenhagen’s mfpen has teamed up with outerwear titan Schott NYC for a thoughtful reinterpretation of an American classic, the iconic CWU Bomber.

Originally introduced as a cold-weather aviation uniform in the 1950s, the American classic gained its recognisable boxier fit in the 1970s thanks to lightweight insulation, and the mfpen Schott CWU bomber stays true to its roots with that signature boxy frame paired with dual-entry patch pockets, a shirt collar and mfpen details including a hook-and-bar collar fastening, exposed two-way zip and a suiting label above the cuff.

Shot by longtime collaborator Isak Berglund Mattsson-Mårn, the Autumn/Winter 2025 offering details the CWU silhouette in Navy and Black recycled nylon flight satin. The campaign places dancers from The Royal Danish Ballet at its centre, a nod to the rhythm that mirrors founder Sigurd Bank’s own creative process, grounding the collaboration in movement, memory and intent.

“The collaboration makes perfect sense,” notes Schott NYC. Combining over a century of craftsmanship with mfpen’s clean Nordic sensibility, the partnership honours a garment that continues to bridge generations with authenticity and grit.

The limited-run collaboration dropped on 3rd December 2025 at Dover Street Market London, the mfpen Store Copenhagen and mfpen.com. See the collaboration in the images below:
