Serving Visuals.
There’s no surprise to anyone that the creative direction of Duran at Jean Paul Gaultier has been a mixup of emotions and of course, dialogue. Following his debut last year which caused major controversy the only right thing to do was not jumping to the hate train and eventually wait for more. Last March he presented his second collection for the house, improving his silhouettes and vision, for his last offering he has now unveiled the latest campaign.
Shot by legendary duo Inez & Vinoodh, the SS26 imagery brings to life the “Junior” collection that sent shockwaves through the fashion world last October. Featuring model Leon Dame back in the high-cut leather leotard from the original show, the campaign is populated by bold, unapologetic characters dressed in Lantink’s distinctly warped vision of the JPG universe. Rooted in the energy of late-1980s nightlife, the visuals lean into the big hair, exaggerated silhouettes, and uninhibited spirit that made Jean Paul Gaultier a legend — a celebration of freedom, movement, and the kind of raw, club-soaked fun that the original Junior line embodied.
