Loewe Introduces the Amazona 180 Bag

By March 5, 2026FASHION NEWS

Continuity shaped into renewal.

Designed by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the Amazona 180 bag was first introduced in their Spring/Summer 2026 debut collection. Marking Loewe’s 180-year anniversary, the house revisits a classic through a modern lens marking new beginnings and continuity.

Amid Spain’s new societal and cultural shift, the Amazona was created for the new generation of working women. Introduced back in 1975, the bag abandoned traditional, rigid structures in favour of a softer, more agile shape making it more suitable for daily life.

This historical lineage is continued by the new Amazona 180. Updated in an exquisitely soft calfskin (or suede if you prefer), the relaxed silhouette is anchored by a single toron top handle. Domed signature squares appear on the sides with a precise leather binding throughout – mixing structure and suppleness.

Intended to be carried open, the bag follows a peekaboo-like trend as seen on Fendi, Dior, and Chanel. A concealed magnetic closure ensures that the main compartment is secured, so that personal belongings are protected.

The three carrying choices: short handle, removable shoulder strap, and crossbody provide adaptability and versatility. A variety of sizes are offered, including Mini, Small, and Large options. The Amazona 180 is available to purchase alongside complimentary bag charms.

What are your thoughts on the bag?
