Jeddah Welcomes Rixos Obhur Jeddah Resort & Villas

Opened in 2025, Rixos Obhur Jeddah Resort & Villas marks the brand’s first property in Saudi Arabia and the kingdom’s first true all-inclusive lifestyle resort. Positioned on the coastline of Obhur Bay, about 30 kilometres north of central Jeddah, the resort sits directly on the Red Sea with private beachfront access and stunning sea views.

Its arrival reflects the rapid transformation of Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector under Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the kingdom’s economy and position the country as a global leisure destination. New resorts, lifestyle hotels and large-scale tourism developments are reshaping the hospitality landscape across the kingdom, and Rixos’ debut introduces a new level of international luxury to the market.

The resort itself is substantial. The property features 250 accommodations, including rooms, suites and private villas, all set within landscaped grounds along the waterfront. The hotel has also been recognised within the MICHELIN Guide hotel selection, placing it among a curated group of notable stays both in Jeddah and internationally.

The overall concept is unmistakably Rixos. A high-energy, family-friendly resort where dining, entertainment, wellness and leisure are incorporated into a seamless all-inclusive experience.

Rooms, Suites and Villas

Accommodation at Rixos Obhur Jeddah is designed with both scale, comfort and luxury in mind. The resort is home to 176 rooms and suites alongside 74 private villas, allowing guests to choose between hotel-style or more residential living.

Rooms are contemporary and spacious, with neutral tones, wood accents with soft coastal colours that reflect the Red Sea. Entry-level Superior Rooms measure around 42sqm, with king beds, sofas and either courtyard or resort views.

Suites host larger living areas with balconies, while the resort’s villas offer the most exclusive stay. Many include private pools, multiple bedrooms and generous indoor-outdoor spaces, making them ideal for larger groups or extended stays.

Across all categories, guests can expect the modern essentials of a 5-star resort. Amenities include high-speed WiFi, smart TV’s, minibars, espresso machines and plush bathrobes, alongside daily housekeeping and in-room dining.

Dining

Dining is a central pillar of the Rixos experience, known for its extensive buffets and varied dining options, and the Obhur resort also brings together a mix of international flavours and regional influences.

The resort features three restaurants, two lounges and several bars, providing plenty of options so guests can remain on the resort while still having the choice to explore different dining experiences each day.

Turquoise, a Rixos signature restaurant found in many of the brand’s properties, is the resort’s all-day dining venue, serving an extensive global buffet with live cooking stations and a rotating selection of international dishes.

For more focused dining, Orient offers Turkish heritage cuisine with classic Anatolian recipes, grilled meats and traditional mezzes. Meanwhile, Kapnos serves Greek Mediterranean cuisine inspired by coastal cooking, with fresh seafood, herbs and olive-oil-driven dishes, making it a must-visit considering Saudi’s distinct reputation for seafood cuisine

Casual dining comes into play at Âme Beach Club, where guests can enjoy relaxed seaside meals, while lounges and bars across the resort offer light bites, coffee and mocktails throughout the day.

As with other Rixos properties, the dining concept is designed to feel abundant and varied rather than formal, with multiple options allowing guests to indulge in whatever tickles their fancy.

The experience at Rixos Obhur Jeddah Resort & Villas extends well beyond luxury accommodation and dining. Like all Rixos destinations, it is designed for guests to enjoy a full-scale leisure destination with no need or desire to leave the premises.

The resort features two main outdoor pools, one designed for adults and another for families, alongside a private beach stretching along the Red Sea shoreline. Water sports and boating are part of the hotel’s coastal offering.

Wellness is another key component. The property includes a comprehensive sports club and gym, an outdoor fitness studio and multi-purpose courts for activities such as basketball, volleyball and padel. Daily fitness programmes and wellness sessions bring a sense of routine to the resort lifestyle.
