Trapstar X Selfridges Capsule Collection

Trapstar is a brand born and raised in West London. The name comes from their high belief that there is a star trapped within everyone. Using inspiration from all around them including art, music and military references.

The brand started with t-shirts and hoodies and have always kept everything limited edition making from 50 to 100 pieces per line. Their customers are always hungry for more each time there is a new release. Supra gave them their first big chance by letting them have a space in their shop, the queues formed over night to catch a glimpse at the collection and that was the beginning of the Trapstar cult forming.

Trapstar has grown and so have their designs, now producing accessories, luxury leather jackets and completely custom orders. Now having the ex Alexander Mcqueen designer Nico Kubisch and getting into partnership with Selfridges collection in the store things are destined to only get better for Trapstar.

As the creative director Mikey Trapstar mentions in a recent interview “This project opens up a new realm for Trapstar. Selfridges is respected in landscape of UK fashion and influenced what we wore growing up in, so to now have our own collection in the store is incredible….We haven’t collaborated with another store since 2012, and when we were approached by Selfridges we were really excited to offer a collection featuring staple items to premium technical pieces that translate the journey of the brand.”

The 16 piece capsule collection consists of cut and sew t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and accessories. All ranging from £30 – £1325 with the prices as appealing as the designs this has got to be a sell out so get in there while you can.
