Richard James doesn’t seem to be able to disappoint. His SS15 collection was excellent. Throughout it was very clear that the theme was explorers and safari. The burnt colours, suits with big-buttoned patch pockets and shirts with printed maps gave a strong indication of the theme. The palette was beige, Acne orange, moss greens and pasty blues. The whole collection pretty much was tied together with staple desert boots. There was contemporary tailoring with their beige suits and they added a pop with printed shirts. They kept with the trend of minimal slip-ons – perhaps a new staple to menswear? We loved the Pitti Uomo-esque soft-shouldered linen jackets – slight hints of sprezzatura. The collection has a high fashion vibe to it with the materials and colour schemes used – excellent all in all.

As ever, Kit Neale has created a vibrant and playful collection with plenty of bold prints. The presentation, composed of three different elements ‘Kit Neale Goes on Holiday’, the ‘Coca-Cola’ range and ‘Little Monsters’ by Tatty Devine, all come together to create the fun and eye-catching style PAUSE has come to love.
The ‘Kit Neale Goes on Holiday’ section takes a nostalgic look back at the British holiday with an airport inspired runway and flight and Mediterranean coastline graphics.
With SS15 Kit Neale gained privileged access to the iconic Coca-Cola imagery and transformed them into bright and pop-art styled graphics. Fifteen garments have been created using the imagery, ranging from full-print silk tracksuits, hand-machine embroidered sweaters and t-shirts. ‘Little Monsters’ by Tatty Devine created a range of playful Perspex characters to compliment the Kit Neale collection.
SS15 has a slight varsity feel to it, especially its crewnecks and cartoon tiled prints. PAUSE’s standout looks were a pair of dungarees with coloured leather patches and a leaf patterned blazer and shorts combination.
