From Zero to Hero in SS15.
The unisex brand Hero Heroine launched in 2014; has readied a new unique and exciting style of urban sportswear, for their SS15 collection. The brand has put in enough to set themselves aside from other street/sportswear designs out there. The collection is made up of original prints, including hashtags, stripes, grid patterns gracing each piece, some more subtle than others.
The design and attention to detail is what makes this brand memorable. The grid pattern instantly becomes catchy as well as the three striped logo, that is used on most pieces. T-shirts with pixellated portraits of music legends is also main attraction within this collection; reminding us of the street and urban silhouette adopted by the brand, for this cool collection.
Predominantly a monochrome, the only colour that is present is bright red, which reinforces that this collection is a statement, again making it unlike other leading brands who usually have an array of colours available. Also keeping the designs quite simple reminds us that the loose fittings and baggy clothing isn’t just one for the boys, but for women too.

Meet the gruesome twoesome!
Nike has decided to give us a ‘trick-or-treat’ this Halloween by dropping a seasonal Halloween pack, redesigning two of our favorite silhouettes.
The Air Max 95’s have been redesigned to resemble by the human anatomy, textured suede similar to a bandage is layered around the shoe. A crackled leather and textile toebox, for effect, as well as metallic detailing emphasizing the string like, laces. A light gooey green accents the outsole, heel badge and the eyelets. To add to the gore, Nike add a stitched bloodshot eyeball to the tongue.
Not as ghoulish, however the Air Max 90 stays in theme with Halloween. Black and Total Orange dominate this shoe, again textured suede throughout the toebox and collar. Enough to make your skin itch. Cognac brown make up the rest of the body, the infamous swoosh comes in a blood-red, and an ice outsole bring this shoe together.
The Nike Air Max ‘Halloween Pack’, launches none other than Friday 31st October, and will be available at nike.com
