A truthful and moving presentation, the Qasimi collection was unveiled under the auspice of wars and conflicts on the second day of London Collections: Men. Entitled “VIDEOGAME WARS”, the Spring/Summer 2017 presentation was located in the renowned Somerset House of London.
As designer Khalid Al Qasimi drew inspiration from the current political turmoil and crisis carried out through out the world, the creative decided to concentrate his energy on relaxed outfits and military-related pieces. The idea of “a child trying to grow up by wearing his father’s clothes” was evoked by the designer, in an atmosphere that also remind us of “Star Wars” (think belted kimonos with cut sleeves, earth tone palette and loose trousers).
