During four endless days, the Spring/Summer 2017 edition of London Collections: Men showed us what the upcoming men’s wardrobe will be about: whilst the more cautious brand hid behind traditional cuts and shapes, the most daring fashion houses tried to shoot at the unexpected, thus gaining the respect and the acclamation from the whole audience of London. For E. Tautz, it sounds like blending the genres was not an option.
Tailoring with a twist. That would be the most accurate way to describe Patrick Grant’ Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Throwing stripes on every pieces of the upcoming season, the man behind E. Tautz went for a classic pattern but did not forget to loosen the silhouettes a bit, teaching us how to modernize the formal combination of clothes for next summer. Alternating between cut-out sandals and conventional white sneakers, E. Tautz dresses the smart casual young man as well as the preppy and yet relaxed Londoner.
