Tim Coppens reimagines an apocalypse.
The Tim Coppens Pitti Uomo: Tim Coppens Autumn/Winter 2017 collection is designed around two fictional characters, Mad Max and Tequila, as they explore their way through an apocalypse in Europe. The menswear is raw with nods to equestrian style. ‘Acid’ is placed on knits and ‘Never Ending Fun’ is worked into the designs of t-shirts, where an H2O bomb explodes. The t-shirt bomb graphic is inspired by Robert Longo’s charcoal drawings. The designs are created with rave culture, skate scene and political views in mind
The designs are created with rave culture, skate scene and political views in mind. They are an edge on Italian tailoring, created to provoke a bigger awareness. Fabrications used in the collection include shearling and Italian wool, on a colour palette of reds, blues, yellows, tans, ivories and blacks and greys.
