If you haven’t heard by now, Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, is currently on his ‘Starboy Legend of the Fall’ tour, and this week he comes to our very own London. So, in celebration of this, we have collated some of our favourite Abel looks.
H&M featured The Weeknd in their “Spring Icons” campaign. He stated “I was thinking about the way men dress today. It’s about finding the right balance between sharp and casual, with all the details that count.”

The Weeknd celebrated New Years in a Saint Laurent Wool Officer Jacket, black denim jeans and a pair of black combat boots. PAUSE loves the way the red and gold regal details lift the all-black look.

We loved the denim and BAPE combination. The Weeknd matches a camo print Bathing Ape hoodie with a relaxed washed light denim jacket. He accessorises the look with a round pair of Thom Browne sunglasses. See below to grab the look/ similar pieces for yourself.

On the topic of GQ, let’s throw back to his April 16 ‘Ready For The Weeknd’ feature with the menswear magazine. This feature was shot by the photography legend Terry Richardson. Abel wears a black leather BAPE jacket which PAUSE loves!
This shot was taken from GQ’s 2015 September issue, where he wears all Yeezy Season 1.
Last October, The Weeknd was spotted leaving an after party with now ex-girlfriend, Bella Hadid. He was wearing a Long Journey navy blue bomber jacket made with a reclaimed vintage material and matched with a baseball hat from Gucci.

Here, Abel options for a higher end look, sporting an Engineered Garments black velvet bomber with grey Mike Amiri ripped jeans and a pair of black Rick Owens Walrus shoes. He completes his look with a beige Obey cap and a Versace chain necklace. We love this expensive look, but we have found a few alternatives that won’t break your bank as much…

The all-black Givenchy suit Abel wore in New York at the Met Gala 16 was an absolute classic. This timeless piece had a shiny black lapel and was matched with a black bow tie and pocket square; this look is elegance done right.
The all black Palace x adidas tracksuit combines comfort with style, as he was spotted leaving LAX Airport. He pairs the two piece with Y-3 Primeknit Pure Boost ZG sneakers; a monochrome dream.

We couldn’t collate The Weeknd’s top style moments without mentioning his collaboration with Alexander Wang, titled “WANGXO”. This collection is pretty hard to get hold of now, but we can appreciate it all the same.
