The First Ever Gucci x Dapper Dan Collection.
Harlem’s Hip Hop tailor, Dapper Dan who first built a cult following by designing one-off hip-hop stars and athletes alike has finally released his first ever collaborative collection of ready to wear styles and accessories with the luxury fashion house Gucci.
Taking inspirational cues from Dapper Dan archives, this capsule features Dan’s eclectic and luxurious style while paying tribute to the iconic designer’s New York roots with 80’s New York imagery setting the back for the young Harlem faces in the lookbook.
Known for his love of logos, this collection features tracksuits and jackets with Gucci’s signature green & red stripes, while the brands GG print, embroidered dragons and a new Gucci logo appear on bomber jackets, T-shirts, shorts and tank tops. Key accessory pieces include printed backpacks, bedazzled glasses, sneakers, thick 80’s style gold chains and various headwear items.
