High fashion uniforms.
Adding a touch of high-fashion to the uniforms of one of London’s favourite restaurants, esteemed designer Michiko Koshino and Wagamama’s Noodle Lab have announced a surprising collaboration.
One of many collaborations for Wagamama in 2019, the Wagamama x Michiko Koshino partnership is inspired by the restaurant’s ideology of encouraging staff to show off their personalities, an ideology also championed by Koshino. Inspired by Michiko’s cult following as well as the commercialism of Wagamama, the uniform includes a t-shirt and an apron with a modern streetwear aesthetic. The collaborative uniforms appear in black and khaki, with bright orange accenting and a Micho Koshino written vertically on the spine of the t-shirts.
Speaking on the collaboration, Michiko Koshino explained, “I am so happy about this collaboration with Wagamama, it was an honour to design the uniforms for such an iconic restaurant in London. I am a firm believer in the synergy between food and fashion and this collaboration’s success is proof of that, the perfect fusion of our Japanese cultures.”
