Seen on the runway.
First making their debut on the runway at Paris Fashion Week, Casablanca recently unveiled the official imagery of the Casablanca x New Balance 327 sneakers which featured in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2020 campaign.
Taking design cues from New Balance’s running sneakers from the 1970s1970’s, Charaf Tajer’s Casablanca is the first brand to collaborate with New Balance on an all-new silhouette. Inspired by the designers French-Moroccan heritage, the New Balance sneaker appears in two colours of Orange or Green, a palette informed by Moroccan oranges and tennis uniforms. The perfect balance of luxury and sport, the sneaker sports a minimalistic design with bold detailing on the white upper, as well as suede vamp fangs and an enlarged leather ‘N’ logo done in classic Casablanca colourways.
Detailing the collaboration, Casablanca’s founder and creative director, Charaf Tajer explained: “It’s an honour to partner with New Balance on this exciting new style as Casablanca’s first design collaboration,” said Tajer. “I know the brand works with few fashion houses so to be chosen to do this with a new silhouette is so special and unique for me. The design perfectly matches the aesthetic of Casablanca, it’s the ultimate leisure shoe.”
Dropping April 4th, you’ll be able to shop the Casablanca x New Balance 327 sneakers on the New Balance website. See the sneakers in the images below:
