Named “Project 50/50,” the C2H4’s “Enlighten” contribution is inspired by the “Age of Enlightenment,” a European intellectual movement of the 17th and 18th century. A big part of the liberty, progress, toleration, fraternity, constitutional government and separation of church and state we now see today, the collaboration celebrates the freedom of partnership born out of the opening of wisdom.
Stand out silhouettes — including the “Vans Style 36 “Trailblazer” — uses a destructive and washing process and features a worn-out metal silver ring at the heel and layered effect. Further details include metal rivets at the eyelets and thicker and wider laces. Elsewhere, Vans SK8-Low “Subconscious” model arrives with a black glue-covered sole, waxed white shoelaces and detachable leather coverings, ECCO Temperature Sensitive Leather is used across the tongue of the shoes, adjusting to various temperatures.
