Barbershop Opulance.
Maintaining their ongoing collaborative relationship, Martine Rose and Napapijri recently unveiled the accompanying campaign for their latest instalment of their NAPA by Martine Rose partnership, highlighting key pieces from the AW20′ drop.
Captured in SlidersCuts in East London, Martine Rose opted to highlight the popular barbershop due to its importance in the black community and to hopefully provide a lift in what has been a difficult time for a business heavily affected by lockdown. Taking inspiration from both Napapijri’s heritage and the world of 90s hip hop, the label wanted to particularly hone in on the way that the decade’s artists changed the prevailing norm’ from tracksuits to luxury labels with the use of materials like velour, plush, opulent colours and regal graphics.
