Inspired by the Luxury house's designs.
French luxury house Balmain is bringing its expertise in high fashion and translating it to Chivas’ 15-year-old blended scotch finished in cognac casks.
The limited-edition collection sees the creation of two bottle designs developed in partnership with Balmain Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing. The first is an individually numbered gold bottle, dressed in metallic armour and chains to mirror Balmain’s signature designs. Available exclusively from Selfridges, it is launching on October 11 and is limited to only 200 bottles.
Drawing on the symmetrical design of chains and belts features in Balmain’s recent collections, the second bottle is releasing on November 22nd. Bringing a contemporary twist to an icon of luxury Scotch whisky, this second release is limited to 2,000 bottles and is available at select retailers.
In a statement, Olivier Rousteing says that, “Those already familiar with the Balmain universe will note that this unique collaboration includes a signature motif of the house—the oversized golden chain. Whenever I’ve included that eye-catching adornment in my collections, it has served as a bold symbol of the defiant spirit of our rebellious and inclusive Balmain Army – a bold and audacious attitude that both Chivas and Balmain celebrate.”
