Nike's first posthumous release.
Having previously been teased by Theophilus London, two iterations of the Off-White x Nike Blazer Low by Virgil Abloh are set to release in the coming weeks.
This is apparently Nike’s first-ever posthumous release, and with this, there will be a lot of questions surrounding the ethical nature of the drop. However, in a statement via the Off-White Instagram account, the brand declared that this release was “The first of many collaborations developed by Virgil Abloh with Nike […] due for release this year.” With this, it is evident that Virgil’s touch and unmistakable design style is present on both pairs, with the attention to detail being clear to see. From the Off-White zip-tie, double lacing system, and “Off-White for NIKE” writing, to the “SHOELACES” printing, blue and yellow accents, and holed features, “Virgil was here” couldn’t be any more true.
Coming in two colourways, the first arrives in a predominately white and cream shade with bright red, yellow, and blue accents, whilst an all-black pair comes adorned with vibrant green features and hits of ocean blue.
