For Casablanca’s first sneaker, they took inspiration from the lost city of Atlantis and its mythological connection between water and storytelling to create a luxurious shoe. The result is, of course, the Atlantis sneaker designed in-house by founder and creative director Charaf Tajer, and art director Steve Grimes, the French-Moroccan brand’s take on a luxury sportswear sneaker.
The most striking element about this shoe is definitely the chunky wave midsole that takes from the liquid movement of the ocean and Atlantis. The upper predominantly features perforated leather with a contrasting smooth suede on the mudguard and heel accents as well as gold lace tips on the white laces. Other details include the ‘Casa Sport’ branding that can be seen on the lateral side of the shoe, the tongue and the heel tab. The shoes will be available in red or blue on a white base.
