Uniting Downtown New York
Having just marked a collaboration with COOGI, Supreme make a return this week with a Bernadette Corporation partnership. With both brands having a history with downtown New York, this collaboration seemed long overdue with the disruptive and rebellious ethos that both labels exude through their collections and brand image. Many original Supreme team members would even attend club nights hosted by Bernadette Corporation titled ‘Club USA’ back in the mid-90s.
This counterculture aesthetic is translated into the capsule through a plethora of different silhouettes including baseball raglan-style tops, tracksuits and football tops. The graphics allude to the brand’s past projects, with phrases such as “Get Rid of Yourself” and “Hell on Earth – and the muthaf*ckin saga continues,” the latter a nod to an offering shown at Deitch Projects in May 1997. The collection also features a compact range of accessories which include a small towel, a Spalding basketball and even nipple clamps.
The collection will be available on May 18th via the Supreme website.
