Splitting Opinions...
Coming together for what is most likely their most opinion splitting collaboration yet, streetwear giants Stüssy and sportswear titians Nike have officially debuted their Vandal High effort.
After the slew of joint releases in the past, including collaborative iterations of the Air Max 2013, Air Penny 2, Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 and more, Stüssy and Nike are reuniting for a new take on a skate-ready silhouette that has historically left sneaker heads underwhelmed, with the former looking to change that. The high-top sneaker arrives in one of Stüssy’s favoured materials in hemp, with the entirety of the upper consisting of a royal blue coloured material whilst a signature woven Nike midfoot Swoosh also makes its debut in black. Contrary to leaked imagery, the pair boast a blue, black and red Stüssy x Nike branded “Stand Firm” ankle strap, working alongside the previously seen Stüssy 8-ball tongue emblem. Additionally, thick black laces, a white midsole, and a black outsole round out the left-of-centre pair.
The Stüssy x Nike Vandal High will release on June 9th via the Stüssy website.
