Rock Climbing SZN.
END. and Hoka have linked up for their inaugural collaboration, giving the Mafate Speed 2 and Kaha Low the outdoor treatment. The collection intends to celebrate the self-resilience and joy found in off-roading.
Hoka is a label renowned for making performance-based sneakers that actually look quite cool, with the Clifton series of trainers – in particular the 8 and 9 – having made a name for themselves as replacements for those exhausted by wearing the same ‘Gorpcore’ sneakers over and over again. Further, the Hopara silhouette was a metropolitan boy’s dream, combining the breathability of slippers with the comfort and sleek design of a running sneaker.
For their joint effort, neutral, earth-like tones are applied to the silhouettes with the intention of blending into your surroundings. From dry open deserts to the depths of the jungle, Hoka’s Mafate and Kaha are built to withstand any adventure. The Kaha low, in particular, is given the Gore-tex and Vibram Megagrip treatment, creating a waterproof upper tied to a sole suitable for climbing. END. and Hoka branding reside throughout the sneaker, manifesting as a combined logo on the sneaker tongue.
Both pairs of shoes are available on END.’s website as we speak. Before you jump over, take a look at the campaign imagery below.
