Japanese born cultural icon VERDY has finally debuted a full look at his upcoming sneaker collaboration alongside global sportswear giants Nike, putting forward two standout pairs.
Known for his colourful collaborations, VERDY continues to let his creative visions run wild as the multifaceted creative and face of Wasted Youth and Girl’s Don’t Cry extends his portfolio with a new collaborative venture with Nike. Taking on one of the sportswear outfit’s most iconic sneaker silhouettes, VERDY opts for two attention-grabbing takes on the Nike SB Dunk Low, with the chunky silhouette receiving a wholly hairy makeover. The increasing use of contrasting textures in sneaker design is a sight to behold, with VERDY x Nike opting for elongated hair and corduroy contrasts across two black/white and blue/lilac takes on the classic SB Dunk Low. Staying true to the pair’s original shape, the material make-up of both pairs is the main design feature, with other extra – and expected – additions including a stitched VERDY heel logo, a fattened tongue and laces, as well as stitched Nike lettering on the rear heel.
