A Cultural Celebration of Basketball and Community in Paris, cultivating a space for the new generation.
Jordan Brand is introducing District 23, a groundbreaking transformation of Paris’ diverse 18th arrondissement into a global hub for sport and culture.
District 23 is Jordan’s heartfelt tribute to the diasporic cultures and international youth who shape basketball and its many facets. It stands as a dynamic example of leveraging the sport’s grandest stage to create a lasting impact that benefits the entire community, especially the next generation.
This vision comes to life in an unforgettable six-week series of events curated by District 23 Creative Director Youssouf Fofana. Set within and around the historic former Tati Barbès department store, which has been renovated to provide a vibrant space for creativity and community engagement.
In collaboration with Foot Locker, Jordan Brand will offer Parisian youth access to basketball courts and other outdoor sports spaces, incorporating programs that use athletics as a gateway to learning creative skills. By maintaining the availability of several courts throughout the summer, the local community can continue to enjoy the outdoor spaces they are accustomed to, without the disruptions affecting other parts of the city.
