PAUSE Highlights: Fashion Month’s Best Street Style Trends

Wearable Looks, Worth Replicating.

The start of October marks the end of fashion month. This biannual spectacle sees buyers, stylists, influencers, and celebrities flit from city to city, like hummingbirds, in pursuit of next season’s buzziest trends.

From London to New York, designers delivered standout style moments for SS25. Coperni‘s show was held at Disneyland Paris and the magical setting also served as a theme for the collection, while the Emirates Stadium – home of Arsenal FC – hosted Labrum‘s SS25 presentation. The runways offered an exciting glimpse of what’s to come, but to understand how people dress for the current season, cast your gaze towards the front row. As the weather steadily cooled, showgoers navigated transitional dressing, with many experimenting with knits, outerwear, tailored layers, and accessories.

Bold Outerwear

Coats appeared in dramatic floor-sweeping lengths, abstract prints, and distressed textures. The statement pieces were paired with tops in muted hues. Unusual eyewear further elevated the distinctive ensembles.

Eclectic Knits

Knitwear arrived in vivid patterns. Some fashion week attendees coordinated their jumpers with trousers and accessories in complementary shades, while others ignored colour theory, embracing maximalism instead.

Unexpected Layers

Classic tailoring was styled in surprising ways, combined with football jerseys or leather trenches. One notable industry insider showcased layering expertise by wearing a T-shirt, cardigan, silk scarf, kilt, and baggy jeans – all at once.

‘Notice Me’ Bags

Accessories were split into two camps: novelty and personalised. JW Anderson’s animal clutches brought a sense of playfulness to simpler outfits. Keychains, ribbons and other miscellaneous items added a personal touch to bags. The more random, the better.
