The re-edition of the famous Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collaboration has drawn a lot of eyes – and opinions – but what can’t be disputed is the fun-loving decadence of the duo’s new Singapore pop-up store.
Taking to various locations around South-East Asia, Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami are sprinkling a dose of their ever-colourful designs, which are based around the latter’s signature “Flowers” motif, around pop-up stores across the continent, with a European debut set to arrive in the next week. The duo’s leading storefront in Singapore opened its doors on January 4th, and for two weeks the eye-catching pop-up will host the French luxury brand’s reimagined collaborative collection with Takashi Murakami. The entrance to the shop immediately proves to be a standout, with Murakami’s smiley flower sculptures being adorned in the historic multicoloured Louis Vuitton monogram that the iconic Japanese artist initially created for the fashion house back in 2003. Titled “Chapter One,” the new collection sees over 170 pieces out up for grabs, with signature LV silhouettes being brought back to life with Murakami’s iconic designs, including standouts such as the classic LV Speedy Bandoulière 25 Bag, a Side Trunk MM Bag, an LV D-Ring 30MM Belt, as well as a host of other garments and accessories.
The Louis Vuitton x Murakami pop-up store will be open from January 4-19, 2025 at 72 Joo Chiat Place.
