Rains Unveils its Fall/Winter 2025 Collection

More Technical.

In a poignant return to its roots, Danish outerwear innovator Rains marked its tenth runway show by staging an intimate presentation within the walls of its newly inaugurated headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark. This homecoming for founders Philip Lotko and Daniel Brix Hesselager, whose hometown drizzle first sparked the brand’s vision, saw roughly 40 guests gather to witness the unveiling of their Fall/Winter 2025 collection, aptly titled “Forever.”

Breaking from their established presence at Paris Fashion Week since 2022, Rains chose to showcase its latest exploration of functional design in the very place where it all began. The brand’s freshly minted space, an industrial symphony of raw concrete and sleek steel softened by touches of wood, provided the backdrop for a 30-look collection that pushed the boundaries of weather-ready apparel.

“Forever” stayed true to Rains’ core ethos of practicality, applying their signature weatherproofing to a diverse range of pieces, from featherlight windbreakers to oversized puffer jackets, some playfully layered and in monochromatic combinations (except the neon-green). Of course their iconic waterproof PU fabric was elevated with new textures. Sharp silhouettes maintained their minimalist edge, often punctuated only by the stark linearity of central zippers. In contrast, fleece manifested as unexpectedly cozy trousers and furry finishes on otherwise sleek jackets, offering a tactile dimension to the collection.

The presentation culminated in a striking finale: a floor-length coat that juxtaposed a shiny, weatherproof upper with a lower half enveloped in long, hairy strands, a surprising yet captivating blend of the brand’s signature functionality and newfound textural exploration.
