For Fall 2025, Fear of God Essentials presents a short film directed by legendary filmmaker Hype Williams, produced by Jerry Lorenzo, and soundtracked by Ruff Ryders’ ‘Down Bottom’, a Swizz Beatz–produced track from 1998. The project captures the timeless dialogue between culture, sound, and style, rooting the collection in the spirit of the late ’90s.
Swizz Beatz himself appears in the film alongside a cast of models including América Gonzales, Elias Monstrey, Joseph Scott, Karl Benjamin, and Lamine Seck, each dressed in the new Essentials collection.
The short film also serves as a reunion of sorts. Williams, whose visual language defined the golden age of hip-hop through his music videos and feature films, brings both cinematic polish and gritty authenticity to the project. The result is a cultural time capsule, a meditation on fashion, music, and memory that bridges past and present through the Fear of God lens.
