An Exciting Appointment.
The musical chairs of the fashion world continue … Nine months after Proenza Schouler’s co-founders, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, left to take over at Loewe, everyone was buzzing about who would take their place. The wait is finally over: the brand has just announced that Rachel Scott, the founder of her own label, Diotima, is their new creative director.
This feels like a perfect match. Since launching Diotima in 2021, Scott, who is Jamaican-born, has turned it into a standout brand in the American fashion scene. Her designs are a unique blend of sharp tailoring and stunning, heritage-inspired crochet work. This mix of craftsmanship and modern design echoes the very essence of Proenza Schouler.
Rachel Scott’s first official collection for the label is set to debut in February 2026, and for her fans, there’s good news! She will continue to design for her own brand, Diotima, while taking on this new role.
How are you feeling with this news?
