A star-studded jury, featuring icons like Jonathan Anderson, Sarah Burton, and Pharrell, announced this year’s top talents, setting the stage for the next generation of style
Soshi Otsuki of Soshiotsuki was named the winner of the prestigious LVMH Prize. As part of his award, Otsuki receives a €400,000 grant and a year-long mentorship from LVMH’s leading experts.
The evening also celebrated an array of other exceptional talents. The Karl Lagerfeld Special Jury Prize was awarded to Steve O Smith, a London-based designer whose work explores the fascinating intersection of drawing and garment construction, bringing the fluid lines of hand-drawn art to life in wearable forms. The prize comes with a €200,000 award and dedicated mentorship.
Furthermore, the Savoir-Faire Prize, which honors innovation and craftsmanship, was presented to Torishéju Dumi of Torishéju.
The designer’s work redefines contemporary fashion by weaving together personal narratives, folklore, and traditions from her Nigerian-Brazilian heritage. She will also receive €200,000 and a year of support from LVMH.
This year’s impressive lineup of finalists also included the brands Alain-Paul, August Barron, Francesco Murano, Tolu Coker, and Zomer, all poised to keep making a significant impact on the industry.
