A Transatlantic fusion.
The NFL has recently ramped up its efforts to partner with lifestyle and fashion brands to reach a broader, more style-conscious audience outside of its core fanbase. From Abercrombie & Fitch to Kith and Lululemon they have been slowly diving into the game attire. For this occasion the brand Pompeii has teamed up with the NFL’s Miami Dolphins for a special clothing line. This collaboration is a major event because it celebrates the very first NFL game ever played in Spain. Pompeii saw this historic moment as the perfect chance to bridge two different sports worlds: American football and European football with a collection that’s refined, relaxed, and timeless.
Instead of typical, bulky fan gear, the collection gives the Dolphins’ iconic look a sophisticated “European accent.” The collection emphasises blending sport and style by translating the team’s iconic aquamarine, orange, and white into elevated garments. Key items include a Harrington jacket (a classic European silhouette), a Track Jacket inspired by ’90s warm-ups, a V-Neck Knit sweater with commemorative embroidery, and a Rugby Polo. They also offer souvenir-style tees and a football jersey that is elevated with a polo collar.
