A collection inspired by modernist architecture, jazz and the poetry of cultural exchange.
Wales Bonner has unveiled their Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, titled “Morning Raga”, drawing inspiration from the pursuit of harmony within modernist architectural traditions. Referencing early ideals of purity and the work of Indian architect Balkrishna Doshi, the season explores a wardrobe suspended between practicality and sensuality.
Uniform silhouettes are reimagined through rich contrasts of texture and form. Heritage polo shirts are elevated with ceremonial satin sashes, while ivory and Atlantic blue colour blocking animates silk shirting. Geometric abstraction appears in minimalist grid patterns across Italian wool topcoats and chore jackets, finished with leather detailing. Womenswear introduces sculptural tailoring, including a studded top and skirt set and a signature wrap tuxedo with satin lapels and curved hems.
Set to the sound of Coltrane’s ‘Meditations‘, the collection reflects an atmosphere shaped by jazz and Indian musical traditions. Seasonal Madras checks, crinkled Bengal stripes and architectural brooches crafted in Botswana by Beullah Serema and Peter Mabeo complete a narrative rooted in craft, rhythm and cultural dialogue.
