The beat of fashion.
Axel Arigato presents Footnotes, a campaign that transforms city streets into living stages where music, dance and design collide. The result: a vibrant portrait of how rhythm, movement and urban culture can elevate footwear into a sensory experience.
From the shuffle of dancers to the pulse of live music, the spotlight is on the brand’s most iconic silhouettes: Dice, refreshed with new colourways and materials; Clay, now offered in unisex sizing; Clean 90, a timeless favourite; Slow Runner, the new low-profile staple; and Orbit, updated in fresh shades and suede finishes. Already wardrobe essentials, these styles set the tempo of everyday life in Footnotes.
For the campaign, the brand brought together Tyrone Isaac Stuart, an interdisciplinary artist who blends Krump, contemporary dance, visual art and jazz in his work; Pike Ogilvy, a London-based drummer exploring textural, rhythmic and improvisational possibilities; and Yasemin Junqueira, a multilingual actress raised in North London. An ensemble of movement artists adds physicality to the story, animating the sneakers through performance and using the body as a living canvas.
As part of the campaign, Axel Arigato will turn familiar urban corners in cities such as London, Paris and Berlin into spontaneous open-air stages, bringing new life to its global flagship stores from August through September.
‘With this campaign, we celebrate creative expression at street level through a mix of artistry. It’s about democratising art, making it visible and accessible, and bridging generations through music, movement and our footwear in motion,’ says Jens Werner, Creative Director at Axel Arigato.
