White is this summers most daring colour! Designers have created several kinds of looks that embody the true essence of white in its purest form; the creation of structural pieces with a layered look and semi cut of trousers achieving a soft edge. We’ve seen sharp detailing from Givenchy from which fashion icons such as Kanye West take inspiration, it being prevalent in his dramatic staging in recent gigs. Chris Brown and the A$AP Rocky have also been spotted jumping the all white wagon.
Luxury brands such as Alexander McQueen and Costume National have injected this pure white into their Spring and Summer collections, creating a persona of innocence in those who wear it. But for you high street lovers, all white items can still be found in great stores such as Zara and H&M. From these outlets you can get an edgy white blazer, paired with a scoop neck T-shirt, white deck shorts and white sandles or toms to complete the all white summer look.
Even if you’re thinking white isn’t exactly your ‘go to’ colour, if you’re looking to stand out at BBQ’s or fashion events, white will surely give you that extra something your peers won’t have- why not go as a blank canvas!
