Fendi’s AW14 show proved a complete success, with Silvia Venturini Fendi playing on real fur and fake fur throughout the collection (revisiting a concept they first did in the 80’s) just to keep us guessing. With that aside the spectacular collection used fur in as many ways as possible from fur hats and gloves to fur panelling on most of the jackets.
Navy’s greys and nudes were seen making an appearance through the collection but primarily the colour pallet was black, surprise.
Silvia goes into designing the collection with the same intention for the accessory line ‘functionality’. The contrast of fur with a preppy shirt is something we have been seeing a lot of at fashion week, with the likes of Burberry doing a similar thing. But is this something that will transcend to the high-street? We sure hope so.
Overall Fendi without a doubt killed it this season.
