What with it now being April and the summer season fast approaching, we’re in that awkward phase of dressing for warm weather with a chance of the April showers drenching us. Here at PAUSE, we understand it can be confusing to know how to dress for this type of baffling weather, but we’ve got you covered with our tips and style icons such as Burberry boy and London child, Jamie Campbell Bower who has a subtle undertone of a rocker boy to his personal style, or the effortlessly cool Tinie Tempah who never fails to get it right.
First off, we remind you to make sure to cover up. We get that the sun is out, and so naturally you’d want to take some layers off but please remember that it is still only April, and so the sun is only really there to deceive us, meaning shorts are still a no go. This also means that you shouldn’t forget your jacket!
A bulky coat might be taking it a bit too far when leaving the house, but by all means, don’t forget to go out with out a jacket – a casual leather or bomber would do just fine.
Secondly, don’t overload with sweaters. Sometimes we make the mistake of realising that it may be REALLY cold outside and so we wrap up – too much. This is probably rookie error number 1. It’s important to find the right balance so that you’re comfortable and not sweating your balls off, even though it’s not that hot out.
Finally, don’t forget that it’s shower season, so we are subject to a little rain – therefore we’d recommend making an umbrella your accessory of choice; only until the rain subsides.
