Famous for emulating Barbara Kruger’s style of bold captions, New York skate brand Supreme is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Following on from their recent collaborative collection with The North Face, it seems to have been a pretty busy year for the brand already.
Keeping it simple, the brand has decided to visit its past, by digging into their archives and presenting us with something we’ve already seen from the label before. For their 20th anniversary, Supreme are re-releasing a ‘Taxi Driver’ inspired graphic t-shirt, along with their iconic box logo t-shirt, with both of these graphics also being printed on skateboard decks; and that is all. The collection not only has brand heritage to it, but it is also a minimum-piece collection.
You could say that this is a smart move from Supreme. Both of these t-shirts were amongst the first to be released on the brands opening day.
The Supreme 20th anniversary collection will be on sale in its New York, London and Los Angeles stores and online on April 24, and in Japan on April 26.
