All traditionalists will say you have to wear a suit for the day. Whether it’s two or three-piece, a suit is the safest option for your graduation, however who likes to play it safe? If you do want to go for a suit, maybe steer away from the black suit and white shirt combination and try something different. A bold one-colour suit will make a strong statement, as well as a patterned suit such as chequered and floral. If a statement suit is a step too far, add something new by choosing a patterned or textured tie and colourful pocket square. Topman have just launched their ‘It’s More Than Just a Suit’ campaign and is a great place to start.

Not a fan of wearing suits? There are other options that you can consider for your graduation day. You could wear a shirt and then skinny fitted trousers, match up a basic tee with a blazer, or perhaps some patterned trousers and basic plain t-shirt. There are a number of combinations that you can experiment with for your smart casual look.

Footwear
PAUSE felt that shoes deserved a section to themselves. There are so many options and styles when it comes to shoes and picking the right pair is an important decision. When wearing a suit, smart shoes such as brogues and loafers are good choices, yet you may want to try something different like pairing up trousers with trainers. Other styles that you could look at are slip-ons and desert shoes.

So, which option would you rock for your graduation?
