Kris Van Assche produced a very artistic and sartorially pleasing Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2015 collection during Paris Fashion Week.
There were hints of nautical and naval inspired themes to the collection without being too obvious. It was a clever mix of casual, formal and sportswear in hues of navy as well as classic solid colours such as red and yellow. Well-tailored suits with minor nautical details started the collection before moving on to contrasting Breton stripes on tank tops to knitwear and t-shirts. Van Assche played homage to the great Christian Dior as words from the late designer in his handwriting were made into prints on the collars of shirts as well as being scribbled as graffiti on denim jeans, bomber jackets and suits. This was truly a novel and whimsical collection that Van Asshe has created while providing a sense of nostalgia as well.
